Qualifying Details
Studentships are awarded by the University for full- and part-time MPhil/PhD students. They cover fees and may include a maintenance grant. Studentships are also available from other sources including the Research Councils, The British Academy and the British Council. Competition for all studentships is fierce and deadlines for applications are usually early in the year. Most applications require the support of the intended institution, so candidates will need to get their University place first. The University awards a Templeman Studentship annually to a graduate of the University who has achieved an outstanding result. Application forms for studentships beginning in October will be available from the Graduate School as from Feburary. Contact the University directly with regards availability in 2008/9.
