世界上很多国家都承认中国的专科学历，譬如荷兰，而且荷兰在对待大专学生留学上较宽松，在转专业方面比较灵活，很多大学都设置有“专升硕”供大专生选择。一般全日制三年大专毕业的学生都可以选择专升硕”课程，可以报读1年硕士预科再进入硕士课程或者直接进入一些专业攻读硕士学位;拥有一定工作经验的大专毕业生还可以报读相关专业的研究生。这样最多不超过2年8个月就可以拿到硕士文凭，比在国内必须先考上本科，再报读研究生(或者毕业两年后方可报读研究生)，节省了一年到两年的时间，同时，也可以节约了很多费用。
